How to Propose a Seminar

Faculty interested in proposing a first-year seminar should examine the program guidelines, sample syllabi, and the the syllabus template below.

To submit a course proposal, please email a draft syllabus and the course proposal form to Todd Bitters at bitters.4@osu.edu.

The University Center for the Advancement of Teaching (UCAT) will work with faculty on seminar development. They can offer consultation and resources on topics such as designing courses, teaching first-year students, and planning appropriate assignments for a 1-credit hour course.
